The Speech Contest of Foreign Language Culture and Art Festival was successfully held on November 18 in the Teaching South Building 316.
11月18日晚，由西安航空学院英语协会组织的第三届外语文化艺术节演讲比赛于教学南楼316举行。外国语学院高沛老师、褚喜之老师出席本次活动并担任评委。
From the start of the contest，the host’s humorous opening remarks lighted the competition’s atmosphere.
演讲比赛伊始，主持人幽默风趣的开场白，点燃了现场气氛。
The English speech contest is made up of two parts. The first part is keynote speech. We have five themes for this contest.
此次演讲比赛分为两个部分。第一部分是主题演讲，共有五个主题。
The first theme is ‘Global response and personal reflection under the pandemic’. As we all know, 2020 is a year of struggle because of the COVID-19, which effected almost all the people in the world. Facing such a challenge, how will our lives change in the future, how should we reflect on the pandemic.
第一个话题是“疫情之下的全球应对和个人反思”。2020年，是全人类与病毒抗争的一年。那么通过此次疫情，以后我们的生活会有怎样的变化，在疫情之下那有怎么样的思考？
The second topic is ‘The promotion of Chinese culture’. As an enthusiastic young generation in China, we should not only be proud of China's historical culture, but also think about how to inherit and carry forward the excellent tradition to the world.
第二个话题是“中国特色传统文化的弘扬”。作为一名中国人，一名热血沸腾的新青年，我们不仅要为中国丰富而悠久的历史感到自豪，更应该思考在当下现实中怎么样继承并发扬中华优秀传统文化。
The third topic is ‘Xi'an in my eyes’. Our college classmates come from all over the country, and some are natives. What is Xi'an like from the views of different people?
第三个话题是“我眼中的西安”。我们的大学同学来自五湖四海，当然也有土生土长的本地人。那么不同人眼中的的西安是什么样的呢。
Teachers are always telling us that self-discipline is the most important in our life. It is the first time that we are on our own when we came to the college. Some are confused about how to plan college life. I hope the topic, 'My College Life and Planning', will give you inspiration.
我们总是在成长的道路上听到老师或是家长告诫我们自律的重要性。大学是我们与自己相处的第一次，有些人会困惑怎么度过大学时光。希望第四个话题‘我的大学生活和规划’能给你启发。
Memory is the most important thing for everyone. Maybe it makes you happy, or makes you sad. What is you most unforgettable experience?
记忆对我们来说是很重要的东西，也许是令你开心的，也许是令你难过的，那么你印象中最重要的事情是什么呢。
The second part of the contest requires the contestant to answer random questions asked by judges, which examined the contestants’ ability of being clear-minded and logical in his or her answers.
第二部分需要参赛者回答评委老师随机提出的问题，要求参赛者思路清晰，回答流利。
The Speech Contest of Foreign Language Culture and Art Festival ended successfully. It is not only a good way to show yourself but also a chance which can help you broaden your horizons and exercise oral English. Through the competition, we realize that we should keep going until the day when we become a better person.
第二届外语文化艺术节演讲比赛完美落幕，这是一次很好的机会让你在同学和老师面前展示自己，向别人分享自己的观点，同样也能够帮助你开拓眼界、锻炼英语口语。通过这次比赛，我们相信只要每天在追逐中奔波，在奔波中沉淀。日复一日，你便会遇见更好的自己。
