2019年10月11日下午，外国语学院学生党员、积极分子前往王寺敬老院看望老人。王瑜和郭名妍共同组织本次敬老院志愿服务活动。

王寺敬老院的周主任热心接待了志愿者代表，并简述了敬老院的规模和现况，也对来看望老人的志愿者表示感谢。我们的学生党员、积极分子分成两队，一队为老人发放志愿者设计手绘的帆布包，另一队去护理部捐赠日用品。

随后，志愿者与老人谈心聊天，表演了精心准备的合唱、舞蹈、乐器等节目。本次活动在欢乐的歌声和轻快的舞步中完满结束，同学们送上了对老人的祝福。

大家表示，很荣幸有这次机会看望王寺敬老院的老人，并希望多开展此类的志愿服务。爱老敬老是中华传统美德，学生党员和积极分子应该加强服务与奉献意识，坚定服务社会的信念。

  In October 11, 2019, the Probationary members of the Chinese Communist Party and activists from the School of Foreign Languages visited the old people of the Wang Si nursing home.

   The director of this nursing home, Mr. Zhou, introduced the outline of the nursing home and its current situation. Then, he expressed sincerely thanks to us. Volunteers were divided into two groups: one was responsible to distributing canvas bags designed by volunteers to the elderly, another was assigned to donate daily necessities at nursing department.

   Later on, volunteers performed several programs and then we chatted with the elderly. At last, this activity quickly ended with joyous singing and merry dancing. Students sent their best wishes to them. It was fantastic.

   Everyone said that they felt honourable to own this chance to visit the elderly, hoping we can have more and more chances in the near future. Respecting elders is regarded as a traditional virtue of China. Moreover,the Probationary members of the Chinese Communist Party and activists are bound to strengthen the sense of service and dedication and have firm conviction to serve the society.
